Tackling Breast Cancer Disparities

Join us for “Tackling Breast Cancer Disparities,” an online awareness event sponsored by the Seattle Seahawks and Virginia Mason Franciscan Health, in partnership with Cierra Sisters and the Washington State Radiological Society.

Black Women get more aggressive breast cancer at a younger age and die from it more often than White women. Screening and early detection are so important. Join us October 16th for a 60-minute virtual event for national Breast Cancer Awareness Month for anyone interested in learning about early detection screenings, including mammograms. Guest speakers include Karen Wilkins-Mickey, Seattle Seahawks’ Vice-President, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion; and Bridgette Hempstead, CEO of Cierra Sisters, a community organization supporting breast cancer survivors.

A panel of physicians and clinicians specializing in women’s health and breast cancer treatment will share information and answer questions about breast cancer disparities and the importance of screening. Learn more and register here

SPECIAL GUEST: Seattle Seahawks’ mascot, Blitz, who will identify winners of door prizes donated by the Seahawks!
