The mission of Cancer Survivorship NW is to support cancer patients, survivors, and caregivers by providing education and resources.
To meet the COVID challenges of 2021, Cancer Survivorship NW will be promoting a series of virtual activities, talks, and resources from May through October, in lieu of our traditional and popular in-person conference. Some of these events will be hosted by us, and some will be hosted by other respected partners in our community.
By spreading our programming across several months in a variety of formats, we will be in a better position to connect with one another, fulfill our mission, and serve those who need it most.

Planning ahead for 2022

As we secure the date for the 2022 conference, we are hopeful to have some form of in-person gathering. The event won’t look exactly the same as in the past, however we are looking forward to bringing you together again!
We are looking to host a live event featuring guest speakers as well as streaming the event for those that wish to attend virtually. As we secure the date and details, we will update the website.

Home-Off Season Virtual

Thank you!

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended this year’s virtual conference. The Pierce County Cancer Survivorship Conference is an annual event to support and celebrate our community of cancer patients and survivors in the South Sound.

The 2020 event, held virtually on August 5th, was a big success thanks to our hardworking volunteers, our speakers, and our sponsors. We hope it was a gratifying experience, and we look forward to seeing you in person next year.

We had a fantastic lineup of speakers and, thanks to the virtual platform, most of the sessions are still available to view right here on our site.

All of us owe a debt of gratitude to our generous sponsors—please take a moment to check them out. Our sponsors make this event possible each year.

What this year's "virtual conference" means

A virtual conference is one that takes place online, with attendees, presenters, sponsors, and other supporters interacting via a website or app instead of meeting in person.

The event will still be free to those who register, and will be held on August 5, with sessions occurring at scheduled times.

Just because it’s online doesn’t mean we can’t experience the benefits of live, real-time interaction! The technology for this keeps getting better, and this year’s virtual Pierce County Cancer Survivorship Conference will feature the following:

  • Live-streamed and pre-recorded sessions that will allow for viewing at the scheduled times, and for playback throughout the day
  • Q&A for live sessions that will allow you to engage with speakers directly
  • Our exhibitor area that will enable you to connect with organizations and vendors
  • A community board that will let you discuss topics and share photos, articles and tips
